Product Description

Time to Rush for GOLD.  Based on the successful full day Show called The Gold Show, we are now offering a shorter more interactive educational school incursion show. Teacher have asked for a shorter, more eventful, less anecdotal show and we have come up with this EXCITING, rivetting and hilarious live event called the GOLD RUSH.

THE GOLD RUSH school incursion starts in front of a nicely put out camp fire, with Ellen and Lucky talking about their trek to Ophir. Involving a massive selection of students from the Audience, Lucky takes them through the hard yakka on in Outback NSW, known as Bathurst. There the students encounter their peers who are also chosen from the audience to play out the roles of the Chinese miners. What a hilarious moment as the children are draped in Authentic 19th century Chinese gear and given a rocking cradle to rock the night away.

The GOLD RUSH school incursion is a 2 hour show based on the unit GOLD in the Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE) Syllabus and can ALSO be incorporated in the Connected Outcomes Group Support Curriculum (C.O.G.S) Syllabus. Adapted to suit the National curriculum this shorter version of the real Gold Show is a great alternative allowing students to learn in an enjoyable way and participate as the GOLD RUSH comes alive right in front of them. The show heavily relies on students becoming involved and taking on the roles of characters as they, the students begin experiencing life on the goldfields.

The show continues with a brief encounter of the trial of Lucky, however if convicted, you will need to book the Gold Show to witness the hilarious and often highly spoke of Flogging of the Miner (which every student loves to see) if found guilty.

This show is the perfect way to star of the unit "Gold" or a clencher in summarizing what they have learnt in class. Ideal in helping students, encouraging them, stimulating their interest in Australian History and developing a taste of Australia and how it began.

There is only one way to find out if Lucky will be Lucky and that is to book THE GOLD RUSH school incursion and let your students experience the most productive and worthwile educational incursion in Australia right in the safety of your school grounds.

The question is "Are you or your students LUCKY" enough?

The GOLD RUSH school incursionShow is an experience right in the safety of your school grounds. It is a perfect event to have at your school to encourage, stimulate or enhance what the students are learning and is one of the best educational resources in Australia.

The GOLD RUSH school incursion was written by qualified and experienced school teachers and is well scripted to enhance the learning outcomes taught in the school classroom.

    Educational Value

Another year for us and the show has improved even more. We have had the show for 5 years in a row and each year our students are impressed and our teachers. The new version meeting the national curriculum helps us a lot. The students of last year remembered the show and wanted to be part of it this year again. Thank you one more time.

    Educational Value

Well written for the students to understand and we were easily able to use the show to do further learning in class. I was astonished to see how the students remembered so many of the things that happened in the show. Would have been very hard to have achieved the same result in class using only Black Line Masters and the whiteboards.

    The Show and Event

The children were always moving and doing something at different times. We had a very large group and the people doing the show were able to handle the large group very well.

    The Audience

Our students are still talking about the show in term 3 when we had the show last term.
