Forensic Science School Incursion
At the Colonial Experience School Incursion, students take an active role in the Colonisation of Australia and the First Fleet. Onsite educational scenes and interactive displays allow them to investigate the history of Australia through interactive technology, participative experiences and the hilarious historic spaces of our First Fleet Props.

The incursion has direct links to the National Curriculum of Australian History.
  1. Explains the roles played by significant people during the British colonisation of Australia as a penal colony
  2. Describes aspects of ways of life and achievements in the early colony for male and female convicts, and the military.
  3. Identifies the consequences of using features, sites and places in different ways.
  4. Demonstrates and explains changes to people and places in the Sydney region as a result of British colonisation.
  5. Allows the audience to ask questions and extract the required details when required.
  6. Demonstrates real, authentic and complete case studies of different people in the Sydney region following British colonisation.
  7. Allows audience to accept specific roles & responsibilities.

The school incursion allows students to participate as the colonial time span comes alive with authentic props and professional actors. The Colonial Experience School Incursion brings to life with utter realism the story of Australia's colonisation.

Travel Charges:
  1. There are no travel charges charged, regardless of the location.
Teacher/Customer Resources Available:
  1. Program Guides are free of charge and provided 3-4 weeks before the event date.
  2. Additional Teacher Resources and Teaching Plans are available at an additional cost.
CSI Interactive Adventure Schools
The students relive the Voyage of the First Fleet, under the command of Captain Arthur Phillip, raising of the King’s Colours and participate in a recruitment of soldiers into the New South Wales Corp nicknamed the Rum Corps.

And This is where the fun begins as your students and school experience the repercussions of the theft of damper and the arrest of the convict right in front of their eyes. The question is...
  1. Can your students accurately become the magistrate for the trial of James Murphy and sentence him to a flogging?
  2. Can they hold their wits and tell the story of the Black Velvet Band and how the British Government introduced the practise of Cribbing which framed tradesmen for the crime of theft?
  3. Can they bear to hear the serious, yet funny stories of the characters and the reason they were sent to the Colony of NSW?

    Educational Value

    The children really related to Anne Fowl the convict. They thought she was very funny, and approachable. The seargent was also very good, but the children liked Anne better. Tge students thought it was really funny. I liked the convict when she spun the flag around. The props were very good because they were real.

    The Show and Event

    The homour used to tell the history is wonderful. This show is Value for money. I would you recommend Iconic Performances to other organisations, and school. Thank you for an excellent experience for our Kindergarten to Year 6 students.
